This is to provide the lowdown on one participant's
experience of preparing for (and taking part in) the first
Fuchs Foundation Antarctic Expedition to celebrate the
fiftieth anniversary of the first successful crossing of
the Antarctic continent under the leadership of Sir Vivian
Fuchs in the Antarctic Summer of 1957/58.
Here you will find links to the Fuchs Foundation itself as
well as pages detailing sponsorship, the science project
and other goodies, including a blog.

wearing down salopettes and a down jacket is that it's
minus 20 degrees Celsius.
